In short
- Bot Rivals is published by Business Safety Coaching International Sp. z o.o. (Poland). By using the game you accept these terms.
- You must be at least 13 years old; below the age of digital consent in your country a parent's consent is needed.
- Your drawings stay yours; you allow us to show them to your opponents so the game can work.
- Zero tolerance for offensive, sexual, hateful or violent drawings or names. You can report and block anyone; we review reports and may suspend or close accounts.
- No cheating: no modified apps, bots, exploiting bugs or trading wins.
- Coins, Blueprints, Crystals and pieces are virtual items with no cash value. Toolboxes cannot be bought: they are won by playing.
- Once Crystals can be bought, you will pay through the App Store or Google Play; refunds follow their rules and your consumer rights remain.
- The game may change and may one day end; we will give you notice. Polish law applies, but you keep the consumer protections of your country and can go to the courts where you live.
1. Who we are and acceptance
Bot Rivals (the "game") is provided by Business Safety Coaching International Sp. z o.o., Romana Dmowskiego 22/112, 43-100 Tychy, Poland, NIP PL6463026358 ("we", "us"). Contact: info@bsci.coach.
These terms are the contract between you and us for using the game, the online server and this website. By creating an account or playing you accept them. The terms of the store you downloaded the app from (App Store or Google Play) also apply; for the app downloaded from the App Store, Apple is not a party to this contract and is not responsible for the game. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
If you use the game as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
2. Age and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age at which your country lets you consent to online services on your own (for example 14 in Italy, 16 in Poland and Germany), you need the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who also accepts these terms on your behalf. Bot Rivals is not an app for children.
- Playing online requires an account, with Google or with email and password. Give true information, keep your credentials safe and do not share your account.
- An account is personal: it may not be sold, lent or transferred.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account, unless it is caused by our mistake or by unauthorised use you could not prevent. If you think someone is using it without permission, sign out (your sessions are revoked) and write to us.
3. Licence to use the game
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download the game and use it for personal, non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control, in line with these terms and the store's rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, modify or decompile the game, except as allowed by law or by the open-source licences of its individual components (see Licences).
4. Your drawings and your name
In the game you draw your robots' frames and your Portrait, name your robots and choose a public name (together, your "content"). Your content stays yours. So that the game can work, you give us, for as long as you use it in the game, a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to transmit, reproduce and show it to other players during matches and to adapt it technically (for example to resize it or simulate it in the game's physics). We will not use your drawings in advertising without asking you.
You promise that your content is yours or that you have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights (for example trademarks, protected characters or other people's likeness).
5. Content rules
We have zero tolerance for unacceptable content. Drawings, Portraits, robot names and public names must not contain:
- sexual or pornographic content, nudity, sexual innuendo;
- hateful or discriminatory content (based on origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or anything else), hate or extremist symbols;
- realistic violence, gore, self-harm, threats;
- insults, harassment, bullying or content targeting a real person;
- personal data about yourself or others (full names, addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles);
- references to drugs or illegal activity, or content that breaks the law or other people's rights;
- advertising, spam, or names that impersonate our staff or other players.
We may remove or hide content that breaks these rules, replace an unsuitable public name with a generated one and apply the sanctions in section 8.
6. Reports, blocks and moderation
- At the end of every duel against a person you can tap Report and choose the reason (offensive drawing, offensive name, cheating, other). You can also block the player: you will never be matched again and their drawings will no longer be shown to you.
- You can also report by email to info@bsci.coach, including content you believe is illegal: tell us the player's name, when you met them and why the content is a problem.
- A person on our team reviews reports as soon as possible, giving priority to the most serious content, and acts with the sanctions in section 8. False reports, or reports made to harass, are themselves a breach.
- If we take action on your account or content, we tell you, where possible, what we decided and why. You can challenge the decision by writing to info@bsci.coach within six months: a person reviews the case again.
7. Fair play
Duels are worked out by our server, but we also need you to play fair. You must not:
- use modified apps, third-party programs, bots, macros or tools that automate play or give an advantage;
- exploit bugs or flaws in the game instead of reporting them to us;
- agree with others to lose or win on purpose, or trade wins or trophies;
- use several accounts to gain an advantage, or sell, buy or share accounts or game items;
- attack, overload or access our servers without permission, or reverse-engineer the protocol to cheat;
- repeatedly abandon or sabotage matches on purpose to harm other players.
8. Sanctions and suspension
If you break these terms we may, in proportion to how serious and repeated the breach is: warn you; remove content or change your public name; take away trophies, rewards or items gained unfairly; suspend your account for a period; close it permanently in serious or repeated cases. For sexual content involving minors, serious threats or other clearly illegal content we close the account immediately and, where the law requires it, inform the authorities.
If we close your account for a serious breach you lose access to your virtual items, subject to the rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.
9. Virtual items and currencies
- Coins, Blueprints, Crystals, pieces, materials, weapons, toolboxes, Pass rewards and trophies are virtual items. We give you a limited licence to use them in the game: you do not own them, they have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, are not refundable (except where the law says otherwise) and cannot be transferred to other players or sold outside the game.
- Toolboxes cannot be bought, neither with money nor with Crystals: they are won by playing (ranked duel wins, the Pass, the league road, achievements). The odds are published on the Toolbox odds page.
- To keep the game balanced we may change Coin prices, rewards, odds and the characteristics of pieces. We will not remove, without good reason, items already paid for with real money; if a change substantially reduces what you bought, your consumer rights apply.
10. Real-money purchases
Today nothing in the game can be bought with real money. This section applies from the moment Crystal purchases become available.
- What you buy: packs of Crystals, the game's premium currency, with the characteristics in section 9. The total price, including taxes, is the one the store shows before you confirm.
- Payment: through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), under their terms. We do not receive your card details.
- Delivery: the Crystals arrive in your account straight after the payment is confirmed.
- Right of withdrawal: as a consumer in the EU you would normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, this right is lost once delivery has begun if you gave your express consent to delivery starting immediately and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). We will ask for this consent before every purchase and confirm it to you.
- Refunds: refund requests go to the store that took the payment, under Apple's or Google's rules. If the store refunds you, we may remove the corresponding Crystals, or what was obtained by spending them, from your account.
- Legal guarantee: your rights remain if the digital content is not in conformity or is not supplied (Directive (EU) 2019/770 and national law): in that case write to us at info@bsci.coach.
- Minors: anyone who is not an adult must ask a parent's permission before buying. The stores offer controls to limit purchases.
11. The service, changes and its end
- The game is provided "as is" and "as available". Playing online needs a connection and our servers: there may be interruptions, maintenance and bugs, which we try to keep to a minimum.
- We update the game to fix bugs, improve balance and add or remove features. Some updates may be required to keep playing online.
- We may stop offering the game. We will announce it in the app and on this website at least 60 days in advance; once purchases are live, we will stop them from the moment of the announcement and apply the rights the law gives you for Crystals bought and not yet used.
12. Liability
- We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and in all cases where the law does not allow liability to be limited.
- For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for damage that was foreseeable when the contract was made.
- We are not liable for loss of virtual items or progress caused by events beyond our reasonable control, or for third-party services (stores, Google, your network operator), except where the law provides otherwise in a way that cannot be waived.
- Your consumer rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity of digital content, remain in every case.
13. Closing your account
You can stop playing whenever you like and delete your account in the app (Settings → ACCOUNT → Delete account) or by email: see Delete your account. Deletion erases your progress and virtual items and cannot be undone. We may close your account only for the breaches in section 8 or if we stop offering the game (section 11).
14. Intellectual property
The game, the Bot Rivals name and logo, the artwork, the edited sounds, the code and the texts belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components and third-party assets are used under their licences, listed on the Licences page.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for valid reasons, for example new features, changes in the law or security. We will tell you in the app at least 30 days before important changes apply. If you do not accept them you can delete your account before they take effect; by playing on after that date you accept them. Changes do not apply to purchases already made.
16. Governing law and courts
- These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country (Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008).
- If you are a consumer you may bring proceedings against us in the courts of the country where you live or in the Polish courts; we may bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the country where you live (Articles 17 to 19 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012).
- Before going to court, please write to us: we try to settle every problem amicably. You can also turn to the alternative dispute resolution bodies or consumer associations in your country.
